Mothers
Against Murderers Anonymous in Honor of PARRIS
FLEMING.
Answers need to be found, and soon! We have
all got to put our heads together and collectively come up
with a solution to this growing problem of gang related violence.
What steps should be taken first? In what direction should
we go? More government involvement will be needed, that's
for sure. But we can't sit back and wait for someone else
to solve the problem for us. We and our children are the
ones continueously getting stuck in the cross-fire from these
cross-eyed thugs. they never manage to hit each other. Every
other week, there's a report of a young child or teenager
getting fataly wounded. Peace rallys , community peace walks,
mid-night prayer with candle light to honor the fallen is
fine for bringing awareness to the public, and helping the
healing process. But what comes next? Just going home and
sitting down after the rally is not scaring the guns out
of those thugs' hand.
We can't expect the law enforcement agencies
to just roll in and erase the problem. It's not that simple.
They can't be everywhere at once. They need our help in order
to be more effective in stamping out this epidemic. The politicians
that we elect should step up to the plate also. Legislation
should be chaged if needed. Many of these murders go unsolved.
There's no incentive for those punks to stop shooting if
they feel confident they can get away with it. Should the
parents of these thugs be held more accountable for the
actions
of
their
offspring
demon seeds? Do we need a government funded crime watch force
to back up and increase the effectiveness of the police force?
(*Watching out for, and reporting crime should be our job!)
Is there enough available assistance for those who want to
break out of that gang lifestyle? Is banning hand guns the
answer? (*well, thats a dumb question because we all know
the answer to that one!) Is requiring all responsible citizens
WHO HAVE RESPECT FOR THE LAW, to carry concealed hand guns,
is that a soluton? I could bring up questions like these
all day, hundreds of them. But what's the answer? "WE
THE PEOPLE" working and thinking together can find the answers.
This is just a tiny fraction of all the
thoughts and questions that need to be addressed. That is
what this forum is all about!
